GII congratulates Darren Rosario and Libby Sparshatt on their promotions to the roles, Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Head of Asset Allocation at Equip, respectively, and we extend our congratulations to three new senior hires who have joined the Fund also, namely Jessie Pettigrew, Alister Wong and Manish Utreja.

Jessie Pettigrew joins Equip as the Head of Responsible Investments. She has more than 10 years’ experience in sustainability and responsible investment, most recently at BT Financial Group, where she was the Head of ESG & Sustainability. She will work to ensure a continued emphasis on ESG integration across the entire portfolio.

The team is also adding considerable portfolio management expertise with the appointment of Alister Wong to the position Senior Portfolio Manager, Defensive Assets & Alternatives and Manish Utreja as Senior Portfolio Manager, Real Assets. Alister was most recently the Head of Investments for Australia Post Superannuation Scheme (APSS), while Manish joins from Insignia Financial where he was Head of Alternatives and also a former member of Insignia Financial’s Investment Committee. Between them, Alister and Manish bring over four decades of combined investment experience to the Equip team.

Equip is a leader in the superannuation industry in bringing funds together through successful successor fund transfers and continues to look for new opportunities to grow the fund. Equip’s strategic objective is to manage AU$50 billion for 300,000 members. Across Equip and Catholic Super the Fund services employers and members from the energy, resources, water, infrastructure, manufacturing, education, health, legal and services sectors. Equip is a hybrid fund, operating both defined benefit, accumulation and pension plans.

We wish the Equip team continued success.
