Global Investment Institute congratulates Megan Talmage on joining AustralianSuper as Portfolio Manager, Portfolio Construction & Strategy – Equities.
AustralianSuper is the largest superannuation fund in Australia and one of the top 40 pension funds globally, with more than AU$260 billion in assets under management, which it invests on behalf of 2.7 million members.
Megan joins AustralianSuper from Blue Orbit Asset Management where she was Co-Founder, Executive Director and Portfolio Manager. In her role as Portfolio Manager, Megan was responsible for portfolio construction and implementation, trade execution and analysis, and research for the Blue Orbit Australian Small Cap Systematic Equities Fund and the Blue Orbit Global Small Cap Systematic Equities Fund.
Megan was previously an institutional equities trader specialising in small and micro-cap Australian equities trading at PatersonsSecurities. At IOOF QuantPlus, Megan managed Australian, global developed and emerging markets factor based strategies, together with an FX hedging overlay.
In 2014, Megan moved to IFM Investors to oversee the setup of the new Global Equities capability. She was the primary portfolio manager and trader for the global optimised index strategies, and co-managed the Australian Small Caps portfolio.
Megan is a CFA Charterholder and CIPM Certificant. She also holds a BComm, Law, Commerce (Finance) from the University of Western Australia.
