Global Investment Institute congratulates Dr Hamid Yahyaei on his promotion to the role Fixed Income Portfolio Manager & Strategist at NGS Super.
NGS Super is a leading industry super fund managing assets of ~A$15 billion on behalf of its members. The Fund was originally established to provide super to teachers in non-government schools and employees in community organisations. Today, it maintains strong links to the education sector, but the Fund is open to everyone.
In his role as Fixed Income Portfolio Manager & Strategist, Dr Hamid plays a pivotal role in managing the Fund’s fixed income portfolio, overseeing sovereign, corporate and derivative exposures.
Prior to joining NGS Super, Dr Hamid was an Investment Strategist within Macquarie Group's Wealth Management Investment Strategy Team. He also served as Director of Financial Modelling at Macroeconomics Advisory, as a Macroeconomic and Credit Market Advisor at Tribeca Investment Partners, and held senior analyst roles at both the Reserve Bank of Australia and Spectrum Asset Management.
Dr Hamid is a distinguished alumnus of Macquarie University and holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance (BAppFin), a Master of Research (MRes) in Applied Finance, and a PhD in Financial Economics. He was awarded the prestigious University Medal in recognition of his academic accomplishments.
