Global Investment Institute congratulates Chris Grogan on his appointment to the Deputy Chief Investment Officer role at Cambooya.
The Cambooya family office is one of Australia’s oldest and most mature family offices, primarily serving the Fairfax family. Established in the 1980s, it manages investments, provides financial and investment advice, handles tax and accounting work, and oversees the family’s philanthropic foundations.
Chris will commence his new role with Cambooya in mid May 2025. He is currently the Head of Defensive Assets and Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Qantas Super, where he is responsible for the Defensive Asset portfolio, the Defined Benefit investment strategy as well as investment implementation and currency.
Chris joined Qantas Super in 2012 as Manager of Investments, a role he held for over twelve years. Prior to joining Qantas Super, he was the Acting General Manager at WorkCover NSW for ten years.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Newcastle. He also holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investments through Finsia.
