Global Investment Institute congratulates Kate Bomley on joining Aware Super as a Senior Manager - Responsible Investment.

Aware Super is one of Australia’s largest industry funds providing superannuation, advice and retirement solutions to those who teach, nurse, care, respond and help others in our communities. The Fund currently manages a combined asset pool of A$150 billion on behalf of its 1.1 million members.

Kate joined Aware Super on 29 January 2024 in their Brisbane office and leads a team of four analysts. Kate’s team work together with the Fund’s responsible investment stewardship team and investment teams; predominantly across, Infrastructure, Property, Private Equity, Fixed Income & Credit, and Liquid Alts; in driving ESG integration, research and reporting.

Kate reports directly to Aware’s Head of Responsible Investments, Liza McDonald. “We are thrilled to welcome someone of Kate’s passion and expertise in embedding ESG considerations into investment processes and decisions”, commented Liza.

Kate joins from QIC where she set the overall direction, leadership and strategy for their responsible investment approach across all asset classes, driving the ESG integration across the business. With over 15 years of experience in responsible investment and ESG integration, Kate will play a key role in Aware’s ongoing commitment to sustainable practices.
