Global Investment Institute congratulates Julia Humphries on joining the Australian Retirement Trust (ART) as a Senior Portfolio Manager – Private Debt & Alternatives.

ART was formed through the merger of Sunsuper and QSuper, creating one of the largest superannuation funds in Australia with approximately AU$260 billion in assets under management and more than 2.3 million members.

In her role as Senior Portfolio Manager – Private Debt & Alternatives, Julia is responsible for developing and implementing ART's strategy for the private debt and alternatives asset class, including portfolio construction, investment research and selection and ongoing management of fund and co-investment assets in North America and globally.

Julia joins ART from Metrics Credit Partners where she was an Investment Director for five years and worked across key lending areas, including corporate lending, private equity-sponsored borrowers, project and infrastructure transactions and commercial real estate.

Previously, Julia worked in New York, USA, with organisations including UBS, Goldman Sachs, Golub Capital, Brevan Howard, Lowy Family Office, D.E. Shaw, BNY Mellon, Barclays Capital and Scotiabank.

Julia is a CFA charterholder, she holds an MBA (Finance, General) from UBS Sauder School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree, in Physiology and Microbiology from McGill University.
