Désirée is a Responsible investment professional with expertise in ESG methodologies, ESG/SRI investment strategies, climate risk and portfolio analytics. She has excelled in her ability to pair an outstanding knowledge of global risks and market trends with an in-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks, data integration, low-carbon strategies, and operational change.
She is experienced in the design and execution of sustainability best practices and innovation working across complex multi-stakeholder engagement initiatives in both private and public sectors. A Technical Expert Group (TEG) advisor to the Responsible Investment Association of Australasia (RIAA)’s RI certification program and policy advocacy working group, her industry collaborations span across diverse organisations such as Earth2Mars change management, the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) and Investors Against Slavery and Trafficking (IAST APAC). Désirée has also been an Al Gore Climate Ambassador since 2011.
An honorary associate of UTS Business School and an industry mentor with RMIT Online, she holds a BSc in Environmental Chemistry, Ethics and Politics from Trent University, a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Plymouth and a MSc in European Environmental Policy and Regulation from Lancaster University.
