Institutional investors are transitioning their portfolios to net zero and we are too.
Last week, we hosted our inaugural Net Zero Investment Forum. This was a carbon neutral event thanks to our partnership with Climate Vault, which enabled us to offset the carbon emissions from the event and ALL our in-person events that we will host this calendar year.
Through our partnership with Climate Vault, we are able to calculate the cumulative carbon footprint of our in-person events, which are then neutralised through purchasing the equivalent in emission allowances from compliance carbon markets, which Climate Vault does on our behalf. Removing these regulated allowances from circulation achieves an immediate, verifiable carbon reduction.
Climate Vault will then leverage this reduction long-term into permanent carbon dioxide removal, bringing our entire 2023 in-person events schedule to carbon neutral in a credible, quantifiable way.
The purchased emission allowances will neutralise the carbon footprint of the following events, we are hosting in calendar 2023:
Net Zero Investment Forum (28 March 2023 – Melbourne, Victoria)
Private Credit Roundtable (4 May 2023 – Melbourne, Victoria)
Equities Investment Forum (6 September 2023 – Melbourne, Victoria)
Fixed Income & Alternatives Investment Forum (7 September 2023 – Melbourne, Victoria)
Family Office Investment Forum (12 October 2023 – Melbourne, Victoria)
