Global Investment Institute congratulates Thomas Bennett on his promotion to the role of Investment Manager – Fixed Interest at the Insurance Commission of Western Australia(ICWA).
ICWA provides motor vehicle injury insurance for more than 1.9 million drivers and insures 3.2 million vehicles in Western Australia. Additionally, they provide self-insurance arrangements for the Government, covering over 109 WA public authorities for workers’ compensation, property and liability. To meet their insurance liabilities, the commission invests and manage assets in an investment portfolio valued over A$7.5 billion.
Thomas has been with ICWA for five years, having joined the insurer as an Investments Officer in 2019. Currently, he is also a Teaching Assistant at Curtin University and the Co-Founder of independent reporting agency, Beyond the Ticker.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with a major in Finance and a Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting from Curtin University.
