Global Investment Institute congratulates Iain McMahon on his promotion to Head of Bonds, Currency and Derivatives at Frontier Advisors.
Frontier is Australia’s leading independent asset consultant, providing advice on AU$600 billion of assets across the superannuation, charity, public sector, insurance and higher education sectors for over twenty-five years.
Iain joined Frontier in 2019 and is a Senior Consultant in Frontier’s Debt and Currency research team. Immediately prior to being promoted to his current role, Iain was responsible for investment advice and manager research across Debt, Currency and Alternatives strategies. His coverage also included Derivatives advice.
Prior to joining Frontier, Iain spent seven years at J.P. Morgan in a range of risk management functions. Four of these years were based in London, providing quantitative and qualitative portfolio analysis as a Market Risk Manager. Before working in London, Iain worked on a Sydney trading desk in an operational capacity.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Science (Statistics) from the University of Melbourne. He is also a CFA charterholder and a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
Iain is a member of Global Investment Institute’s Advisory Committee for our upcoming Fixed Income & Alternatives Investment Forum, which will take place on Thursday, 7 September 2023 in Melbourne CBD, Victoria. As a member of our Advisory Committee, Iain provides input into the agenda formation process to assist us in shaping the program.
