Global Investment Institute congratulates Talieh Williams on joining Cbus Super as the Head of ESG Integration.

Cbus Super is an industry superannuation fund, established in 1984, eight years before super became compulsory in Australia, when it was known as the Building Unions Superannuation Scheme. Today, Cbus manages assets in excess of A$94 billion (as of 30 June 2024) on behalf of more than 920,000 members.

Talieh is a seasoned responsible investment and ESG leader with extensive experience gained through a number of senior roles, including 11+ years as Investment Manager, Governance and Sustainable Investment at UniSuper; and, Head of Investment Stewardship at Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC). Talieh joins Cbus from VFMC where she most recently held the role Chief of Staff to the CIO and CEO and was part of the Investment Leadership Team, involved in developing strategy and with a focus on impact.

Talieh has also held several industry advisory roles including with the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative, as a member of the committee of management at the Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) and board positions with the Responsible Investment Association Australia (RIAA) and the Australian Council of Super Investors (ACSI).

Talieh holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Monash University and a Master of Social Science (International Development) from RMIT University.
