Global Investment Institute congratulates Rhys Gundry on joining the Victorian Funds Management Corporation as a Senior Portfolio Manager in their equities team (external mandates).
VFMC is a public authority responsible for investing AU$75 billion on behalf of Victorians, managing the long-term investments of Victorian State Government entities, comprising of 31 Victorian public authorities and related organisations.
Rhys joins VFMC from Cbus Super where he spent 7+ years, most recently in the role of Senior Portfolio Manager, Equities, where he had primary responsibility for manager research and portfolio construction, as the Australian equities lead. Prior to Cbus, he also spent more than 13 years with Mercer, where he was a senior member of the investment team with responsibility for proprietary and third-party investment analytics.
Rhys holds post graduate qualifications in Business & Technology (Distinction) from UNSW and Executive Leadership (First Class Honours) from The University of Melbourne.
