Global Investment Institute congratulates Kana Thorpe on her appointment as Assistant Portfolio Manager within the responsible investment team at Funds SA.
Funds SA is owned by the government of South Australia and manages investment portfolios on behalf of South Australia’s public sector superannuation funds and approved public authorities, managing funds in excess of A$41 billion.
Kana has over 17 years of experience in various ESG positions. Prior to joining Funds SA, Kana led strategy development and implementation at Duxton Capital's ESG team as an analyst. Previously, she served as a project manager within the energy and environment team at GR Group Asia in Tokyo and as a project and executive officer at Primary Industries and Regions SA.
Kana holds a MSc by Research, BSoSci, Economics, Environmental Economics, Environmental Science and Social Sciences from James Cook University and a MPM, Financial Management, Real Estate Development, Public Policy Analysis from Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy.
