GII congratulates Shali Lingaretnam on her appointment as the Head of Investment Stewardship at Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC), in a permanent capacity, having been acting in the role since July 2021.
VFMC manages funds for the State of Victoria and related Victorian public authorities. In delivering investment returns consistent with the long-term objectives and risk appetite of the State and clients, VFMC’s investment activities include being a responsible investment steward. VFMC welcomes Shali and her team’s ongoing leadership, expertise and advice in helping it achieve this commitment.
Shali’s previous role at the organisation was Senior Portfolio Manager- Equities, looking after external mandates.
Formerly, she was the Head of Investments of CCI Asset Management, a role she held for nearly three years.
Shali has more than 20 years market experience including in investment roles at Macquarie Bank, Aviva, Lonsec and IOOF Investment Management.
