Global Investment Institute congratulates Désirée Lucchese and Adam Randall who have been appointed to the Board of Directors at Impact Alpha Partners.
Impact Alpha Partners (IAP) is a recently established impact investment research and consulting firm based in Sydney and Melbourne. IAP’s mission is to effectively partner with investors to drive impact and alpha in their investment outcomes.
Désirée will join the board as a Non-Executive Director. She is a highly accomplished responsible investment professional with a demonstrated track record of integrating sustainability best practice and innovation within various organisations. Désirée is an influential voice in the rapid evolution of responsible investment standards and reporting frameworks.
Currently, Désirée serves as a Sustainability Manager at MLC Life Insurance. Prior to this, Désirée was the Head of Ethics and Impact at U Ethical Investors and an ESG Consultant at MSCI ESG Research. Désirée is an Honorary Associate of the Finance Department at UTS Business School and a Sustainability and Social Impact Industry Mentor at RMIT.
Désirée has served as an advisor to Responsible Investment Association of Australasia (RIAA) Technical Expert Groups and has collaborated on stewardship initiatives with the Investor Group for Climate Change (IGCC) and Investors Against Slavery and Trafficking (IAST). Since 2011, Désirée has been an Al Gore Climate Ambassador.
Désirée is joined by Adam Randall, who will serve as an Executive Director.
Adam brings considerable expertise in quantitative research and portfolio construction from a distinguished career across some of Australia’s largest fund managers including IFM Investors, RQI Investors (part of First Sentier) and Victorian Funds Management Corporation. In 2017, Adam founded Blue Orbit Asset Management, a quantitative Australian and global small caps asset manager.
Adam’s expertise covers alpha signal research, portfolio optimisation and risk allocation. Adam holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from RMIT University.
