GII congratulates Andy Sowerby on his appointment as Managing Director, Head of Client Group APAC ex-Japan, Allspring Global Investments (Allspring).

Andy will be responsible for leading Allspring’s business development across the APAC region and identifying ways to best partner with existing and prospective clients.

He brings a wealth of experience to the organisation having spent more than 30 years across top-tier global companies.

Throughout his career Andy has held senior executive roles focused on institutional and wholesale markets, most recently with Legg Mason where he was the Head of Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) and CEO of its Australia and New Zealand operation. Previously, he spent more than 11 years as the Global Head of Distribution for Martin Currie, where he established its international business, including offices in Singapore and Australia.
